Dell Adamo Specifications and Shipping Dates

The Dell “Adamo” teased us by slowly getting dressed and by various coy pics.

Now it’s ready to reveal itself and all its specs! 🙂

The vital stats read in inches: 13.03 width x 9.5 depth x 0.65 height with that chassis milled from a single piece of aluminium (sounds familiar?) and features a “scalloped” backlit keyboard.

Under the hood there’s Windows Vista, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, SSD drives, Wireless N, Bluetooth 2.1, two USB ports, and the claim of around 5 hours battery life.

The 13.4-inch, 16:9 HD glass display goes edge-to-edge and the lappy will be available in “Onyx” and “Pearl” flavours.

If that sounds a tad large for what you need Dell support documents have hinted at a 9-inch model – so if you’d rather have a ‘luxury netbook’….. 😉

With a starting price of £1649 you will be able to coordinate your look with a range of accessories including an exclusive line of bags from TUMI.

Extras from Dell will include external storage options with 250GB or 500GB external hard drives, an external DVD+/-RW or Blu-ray disc drive, a matching 8GB USB drive and various “connectors and cables”.

The Adamo will be available online for purchase in 24 countries, including the UK and Ireland.
