LG Watch Style and Sport pics and prices
Evan Blass has now given us all a decent peek at one of Google’s two supposed lead smartwatches that will sport Android Wear 2.0.
We mentioned the new LG Watches on our Tech Addicts podcast last week. Now, there is more to see thanks to Evan’s post.
The LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport are said to be on their way soon.
The original snaps, as seen at the bottom of this post, weren’t exactly great on detail.
The LG Watch Style will be the smaller and less expensive offering, by all accounts.

Here we are able to see a better pixel count than the initial photo leak.
It appears that matte-looking materials seem to be the order of the day at LG. I am digging the metallic finish to the face casement.
The chunky leather-look band can be changed out for others, according to rumors.
The central button is said to be a digital crown, rather like the Apple Watch, but so far there’s no indication of how this might be used, but it’s clearly detailed in the latest images.
The LG Watch Style is said to be 10.8mm thick, with a 1.2-inch display, with a 360 x 360 pixel resolution.
There’s 512MB RAM and 4GB of storage, with a 240mAh battery and an IP67 protection rating. Picture leaks have revealed silver and rose gold colour options.
LG Watch Sport
Evan Blass writing on VentureBeat confirmed a thickness of 14.2mm for the Watch Sport, IP68 environmental protection and titanium and blue colours – although we’re not sure what the materials are.
The LG Watch Sport appears to have a rubber strap. It is also rumoured to have a 1.38-inch display with a 480 x 480 pixel resolution, making it one of the highest resolution watches so far.
It’s expected to come with 768MB of RAM, 4GB of storage and a battery capacity of 430mAh.
It also features a heart rate sensor, and offers LTE connectivity, NFC and GPS, for a completely independent experience, although we suspect there will be different versions of it, both cellular and Wi-Fi only, hinted at in an FCC filing.
LG Watch Sport and Style prices
According to that oft-touted “trusted source”, the Watch Style will come to market at $249.
Its tougher, larger sibling, the Watch Sport, is likely to come in cellular as well as Bluetooth models.
It’s probably safe to assume that the Watch Sport will cost around $100 more than the Style.
