Casio announces new Edifice EQB 501 solar-powered connected watches
Casio have been back in touch to let us know about two new additions to their EQB 501 range of cool-looking Edifice connected watches.
The Casio Edifice range of tech-infused chronograph watches, developed in conjunction with the Scuderia Toro Rosso F1 racing team, packs Bluetooth technology for seamless smartphone connectivity.
The Bluetooth link sets the time and date for the watch and also helps you flick seamlessly over to whatever timezone you happen to be in.
What I really love about these smart watches is that they retain the classic analogue racing timepiece looks.
The Casio Edifice 501 range sports the Bluetooth smartphone link, a phone finder function, and global time sync with over 300 cities around the world.
Being for the active-type, you’ll also be glad to know that they are water resistant to 10 Bar and have faces protected by scratch resistant mineral glass.
Oh, and they are powered by the sun.

Prices and availability
You may have worked out that the difference between the two watches above is basically the colourways.
With that in mind, the EQB 501 XDB-1AER is priced at £325 as is the XD-1AER. For me, I prefer the XDB as I love blue.
More details can be found at the Edifice Bluetooth section of the Casio website.
