Pro-Ject adds Spotify Connect to their Stream Boxes
Pro-Ject has just added another neat feature to their swanky streamers.
Pro-Ject have announced that they have finally added Spotify Connect across all of their Stream Box models.
The new firmware is available to download for free as is their new control App for Android and Apple.
The update allows Spotify Premium subscribers to stream over 30 million tracks from the Spotify smartphone and tablet application to their Stream Box. Spotify Connect also allows users to make calls or use other apps without interrupting playback since the technology is built into Stream Box components.
Improvements of the updated Box Control App:
- Added Support for Spotify Connect (please update your Stream Box Firmware also)
- Fixed bug in searching for devices
- Remember last used devices improved
- Gapless playback over UPnP implemented
- Support for MaiA DS (only Android)
- Added remotes for new Box Design devices
- Improved handling of special characters in metatags
- Added mute buttons
Newly ordered Stream Boxes will come with the newest firmware automatically.
