BenQ XR3501 35-inch curved monitor

benq XR3501BenQ has introduced its new 35-inch curved XR3501 display which is aimed at gamers – more specifically racing sim fanatics.

The XR3501 features a 2000R ‘Ultra Curve’ screen equipped with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2560×1080 resolution which should satisfy the demands of all PC gamers.

The curved display is promised to “completely consume your field of vision”.

That sounds a bit aggressive but, in short, the BenQ monitor has been designed so that the action on the screen even fills your periphery, thus eliminating distractions and so creating a true real-world gaming experience.

This makes the XR3501 the ideal choice for certain games such as flight simulators and racing games but will bring the action closer in first person shooters.

Finally, three gaming presets round off the spec sheet. These allow gamers to toggle between modes so they can “see what the pros see”.

I am lucky enough to have a date with this monitor later in the week and will be letting you know my thoughts after some serious hands-on driving action.

I am ready to feel the thrill of the curve.
