Motorola Moto G release date, spec and UK price

moto g gsmarenaIt certainly sounds like Motorola will be launching a new smartphone outside of the US and it will be the Motorola Moto G.

Google has launched a new website for the Motorola Moto G, and it has the date of November 13th stamped on it – I am fairly certain that this will be the date that the handset gets its official unveiling.

It looks like Motorola will also provide a video feed of the announcement, as their website encourages you to ‘sign up for a live online announcement’.

The Motorola Moto G is said to come with a 4.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels packed at 329 pixels per inch. Processing will be provided by a quad core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Other specifications on the Moto G will include 8GB internal storage, front and rear facing cameras (1.3 megapixel up front and 5 megapixel at the rear), HSPA+ (no 4G mentioned), Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi which is all being pushed along on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and powered by a 1,950 mAh battery.

I have also heard the Moto G could rock a 4.7-inch display of the same resolution mentioned above but incorporate not only an 8MP camera but also a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm chip.

Could there be more than one version hitting different territories?

It looks like this handset could be released internationally on November 13th with rumours suggesting the handset will set you back £134.95 off-contract
