Speedlink has announced two new gaming mice this year at Gamescom: the Decus Respec, successor to the original Decus, and the Omnvi.

What do you do with a successful gaming mouse? You add new features and do even more tuning-up under the hood.

This is precisely what Speedlink say they have done in order to create the Decus Respec which was launched at gamescom today.

Now, whether the is derived from the mouse being respec’ed or it’s an attempt at street talk (innit doh) is up for debate.

Speedlink Decus Respec

The original ergonomic shape, which led to the mouse’s incredible popularity amongst gamers, has been kept. However, the top case has been redeveloped and redesigned.

The Decus Respec also features a new weight system with 4 x 4.5g removable weights plus a new 5,000dpi optical sensor.

Thanks to the bundled software, the button configs and complex macros can be stored in up to five different profiles.

Speedlink Omnivi

The Omnivi gaming mouse boasts 10 buttons (including the scroll wheel button) and sits atop of the new range.

The mouse is equipped with an optical sensor with a resolution of 12,000dpi.

Thanks to its aluminium base plate and integrated finger rest, this mouse should feel incredibly comfortable.

It comes with 7 colour configurable lighting as well as software configurable buttons and macro recording.

The lighting can be customised with different lights on the scroll wheel and logo as well as different effects.

The customisation options include 6 dpi levels, and USB polling rates.

Decus Respec and Omnivi prices and availability

The Omnivi mouse will be available from retailers from October for an RRP of £59.99. The Respec will be £44.99 and is due to go on sale at the end of September.
