Philips announce sub-£90 active noise cancelling & Bluetooth headphones
The Philips SHB8850NC; more music, less noise, no wires. Well, that’s what the press release says.
Typically, if you’re looking for a trusted brand of headphone that packs both Bluetooth wireless connectivity and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), you are generally going to be paying north of a £100.
Even the recently reviewed Lindy Cromo noise cancelling headphones were almost £100.
Philips is bucking that trend with their newly announced Philips SHB8850NC.
The SHB8850NC features ActiveShieldTM ANC – which can eliminate up to 97% of background noise – this breakthrough product makes cutting edge ANC technology available for anyone and for any situation, whether in the office or on a long haul flight. Whilst Bluetooth 4.0 wireless connectivity enables users to enjoy all of their music from phones, tablets or laptops, in high quality and free from any wires. More music, less noise and with complete freedom of movement, all in an attractive, compact, closed back design.
The Philips SHB8850NC also boasts high-quality 32mm neodymium drivers, delivering rich and clear music at any volume. The wireless Bluetooth operation and 16-hour battery life gives users comfortable, continuous entertainment, even during the longest trips.
Philips has also ensured that the SHB8850 NC’s are particularly easy-to-use. The built-in mic and user friendly smart controls on the right earshell allows users to take calls, control music and activate Siri or Google Now.
NFC one-tap pairing allows easy connection to any Bluetooth enabled device as well as featuring multi-pair which allows music playback and calls from two devices at once. An extra audio cable is also included giving the option to continue to use the headphones without battery power.
