The Internet is Over – So Says Prince!

I’ve been a fan of Prince for years!

I was blown away by his performance at the O2 back in 2006 and I will stand my ground when people declare lesser musicians and performers as being better than the little fella.

But, my love for his Royal Purpleness is being tested folks.

Mr Alphabet Street has declared that the interwebs are “completely over“.

Yup, say good-by to Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, eBay and GadgetyNews!

Prince Rogers Nelson says that:

“All these computers and digital gadgets are no good. They just fill your head with numbers and that can’t be good for you.”

Anyone that knows me will agree that, when it comes to maths, I’m not exactly the go to guy – but flicking the eternal off-switch to the web is a tad extreme if you ask me!

OK, so he has had beef with people posting his videos up on YouTube and got a bit miffed by file sharers but he’s also having a right-ol’ grumble at iTunes because they refuse to give him some cash in advance (because he is obviously skint):

“I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else……. They won’t pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can’t get it. The Internet’s like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated.”

This is why he’s giving his new album, 20TEN, away for free via the Daily Mirror – a similar thing that he did with 3121.

I will leave you to decide if we’ve had too much geekahol – because, quite frankly, I’d hate to argue with someone that has a place called ‘The Knowledge Room’.
