Blink XT wireless outdoor camera announced
I reviewed, and have been using, the Blink wireless security cameras in my home. Now you can protect the outside of your property too, thanks to the Blink XT.
The Blink XT outdoor camera is all set to guard your perimeter in all weathers.
The new camera retains the same squarish shape of the Blink cams. Instead of the, put-me-anywhere white of the original, the XT is cased in stealthy black.
It’s IP-65 rated for water-resistance and weather-proofing. The camera is built to deliver clear, HD quality video right to your smartphone, even on the not-so-clearest of days. It has quoted operating temperature tolences of -4° to 113° F (-20° to 45° C).
It records video at 1080p and has an infrared night vision sensor. You can also turn off the blue status light for added stealth.
There is Alexa integration, scheduled arming, motion-triggered video alerts, live streaming, free cloud storage, and built-in temperature sensor and microphone.
With all that, you still should get 2 years of battery life.
