Samson unleashes MediaOne M30 compact studio monitors

Samson has been in touch to let us know about the launch of their new MediaOne M30 Powered Studio Monitors.

The MediaOne M30 is a compact, full-range speaker solution for all desktop and multimedia applications.

This makes them ideal as a high-quality audio solution for producing music and video, watching/streaming videos or playing video games or music. All without taunting your bank account too much.

The M30s feature an internal amplifier, solid wood construction and other high-quality components. Samson says that they produce a big sound while occupying minimal desktop space.

Small Size, big Sound

Despite their modest size, the MediaOne M30s delivers a sound that matches speakers twice their size, according to Samson.

Both monitors feature a 3-inch copolymer woofer that promise to provide tight lows, complemented by a 3/4-inch silk-dome tweeter housed in a custom waveguide that adds smooth highs with a wide sound stage.

The result is a compact system with a balanced frequency response and stunning full-range audio. If you need more bass, however, there’s a Bass Boost switch to enhance the lows.

Samson’s 20 years of experience designing professional studio monitors for recording studios around the world fuels the high-quality design and engineering behind the MediaOne M30 monitors.

An internal 20-watt (10 watts per channel) studio-grade A/B amplifier powers both monitors. The result should be a robust, detailed sound.

Also, a solid wood cabinet construction with rear porting ensures maximum efficiency and low response without mechanical power loss.

Multiple connections for multimedia

You can connect mixers, audio interfaces, computers or mobile audio devices to the system’s rear RCA inputs.There is also a front panel headphone jack that mutes the speakers for private listening sessions.

Furthermore, a 1/8-inch (3.5mm) output allows users to integrate a powered subwoofer with the MediaOne M30s to create a 2.1 system.

Price and availability

Samson’s MediaOne M30 Powered Studio Monitors are now available at most major CE and musical instrument retailers in the U.S. for $79.99.
