iRig Puts Guitar and Bass Amps on Your iPhone and iPad

Here’s an interesting little iPhone add-on for your axe-slingers and plank spankers out there.

As you know, I love apps that makes a musician’s life more interesting/easier and IK Multimedia has just announced their good looking AmpliTube iRig.

iRig is a gadgety software/hardware solution that slings your guitar and bass effects in your pocket.

Hook up your choice of instrument into an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and tweak your way through 10 stomp boxess, 5 amps, 5 cabinets and 2 microphones.

The hardware part is the dongle which you shove one end into your iGadget and jack in your axe. You can then run your headphones or hook the lot up to an amp.
