Rocketfish Sound Prism iPad Speaker Available in UK
Design can be a beautiful thing and those clever folk over at CRE8 Design Studio have concocted a great looking iPad speaker in Rocketfish Sound Prism.
There’s a load of Bluetooth-enabled speakers out there but the Rocketfish Sound Prism has been specially designed to be used with Apple’s Smart Cover or similar case designs. The neat bit is that it puts that triangular dead space that’s created when the Smart Cover is folded back to good use.
The speaker attaches itself magnetically and it can hide away inside an Apple Smart Cover when folded up. Sound comes out of both ends, so its not obscured by the iPad or its cover.
It’s Bluetooth, so can pair up with any compatible device – granted, you’d be missing the point that the designers had in mind 😉
The Sound Prism measures 1.2 (h) x 9.5 (w) x 1.9 (d) inches and weighs a tiny 7.8oz. I’m not able to find any details regarding output or speaker configuration.
According to the Rocketfish site the Sound Prism is available now and you should be able to grab one at Carphone Warehouse although I can’t find it on their UK page. I’ve heard that the RRP is $80 although Best Buy over in the US is said to be peddling them for $50.
