Samsung to bring Tizen to UK
Samsung has yet to get around to launching a Tizen smartphone in Europe – but it looks like that might be about to change as the company is reported to be getting ready to launch some Tizen smartphones in Europe.
Tizen is an open and flexible operating system built from the ground up and is developed by a community of developers, under open source governance, and is open to all members who wish to participate.
The Tizen operating system comes in multiple profiles to serve different industry requirements. The current Tizen profiles are Tizen IVI (in-vehicle infotainment), Tizen Mobile, Tizen TV, and Tizen Wearable. In addition to that, as of Tizen 3.0, all profiles are built on top of a common, shared infrastructure called Tizen Common.
According to a recent report Samsung is testing out Tizen in Europe and the company has plans to launch their first European Tizen smartphone which will make your choice even more great.
There’s still no word on which device Samsung will launch in Europe – it could be the existing Samsung Z1 or, I am hoping, the new rumored Samsung Z3. Personally, I think the latter makes more sense for Sammy to release Tizen in Europe on a new blower.
If that happens, the Samsung Z3 is rumored to come with a 5-inch display with a HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Word is that the Z3 would feature a 1.3GHz quad core Spreadtrum SC7730S processor and 1.5GB of RAM.
The device will also come with 8GB of built in storage, a microSD card slot for extra storage and front and rear facing cameras.
The front camera is likely to be a 5 megapixel snapper with the main rear shooter rating 8 megapixels.
