Dual SIM Note 8 outed in Austria, teaser vid packed with buzzwords
As well as the new Gear Fit 2 Pro, a device known as Galaxy Note 8 will be making a surprise appearance at next week’s Unpacked event.
It looks like Austrian efficiency has popped out the early news of a dual SIM model coming to Europe.
Galaxy Note 8 dual SIM
The dual SIM version of the Galaxy Note is listed with the model number SM-N950F/DS on the Samsung Austria portal.
It’s a shame that there aren’t any pretty pictures to gawp at, but it just shows that people are getting ready.
Let’s face it, the Unpacked event happens next Wednesday.
The rest of the specifications on the handset will be the same as the single SIM model.
So, expect it to be powered by either a Samsung Exynos 8995 processor or a Snapdragon 835 processor.
As with previous Sammy devices, the chip used will be dictated by territory.
Note 8 video teaser
Samsung as also gone official with a Note 8 video.
The short teaser trailer is here to get you hyped!
Unfortunately, what you get is a barrage of buzzwords. No tastefully coquettish pictures here either.
I am sure that someone in marketing just had a tick sheet to get through.

If you manage to look past all that trite speak, at least you see an S Pen being used to cross out big, for bigger, update for innovate, etc. Someone got a gold star for that, for sure!
I do, however, like the old skool dig at Apple (probably). The teaser mentions that this phone isn’t closed, but open.
Specs
Other specifications on the Galaxy Note 8 will include a 6.3- or 6.4-inch display with QHD+ resolution.
The handset will also come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
It will be loaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat with an Android O upgrade landing shortly afterwards.
The Note 8 will feature an 8 megapixel front camera and two 12 megapixel rear cameras.
Oh, at least the video also confirms that Samsung will make the Note 8 official at a press event on August 23rd.
