Leema Acoustics Pulse IV amp – perfect for vinyl and digital
Leema Acoustics’ new Pulse IV amplifier is designed by a BAFTA-winning sound engineer and hand-built in Wales. It is also the ideal hub for contemporary music-listening with turntable connectivity, Bluetooth playback and seven digital inputs.
The Pulse IV is a highly versatile and powerful integrated amplifier. It enables a world of music to be enjoyed with Leema Acoustics’ sound quality.
Leema’s ex-BBC and BAFTA-winning lead engineer, Lee Taylor, has reworked the company’s famous Pulse amplifier for the digital age.
Now you get a super-high-quality phono stage for vinyl playback, aptX Bluetooth for wireless streaming, plus a 32-bit/384kHz DAC enabling the playback of today’s high-resolution audio.
Class-leading vinyl playback
The Pulse IV caters for the vinyl resurgence with the addition of an extraordinarily high-quality phono stage taken from Leema’s award-winning standalone Essentials phono stage. That phono stage will cost you £595 when bought seperately, by the way.
The Pulse IV offers both Moving Magnet and Moving Coil compatibility for vinyl. This enables all turntables to be connected, regardless of type.
Thoroughly modern
The fourth generation Pulse IV retains all of the qualities that made the Pulse a favourite amongst consumers and critics alike.
Additionally to that there is all-new metal casework and an advanced 32-bit/384kHz-DSD capable Sabre DAC with a XMOS USB Type-B input to improve digital sound quality from connected devices.
Furthermore, there’s seven digital inputs. As well as USB you get three optical and three electrical S/PDIF, plus aptX Bluetooth. These all enable an even wider range of digitally connected devices to benefit from Leema’s celebrated sound quality.
A powerful 80-watt design, the Pulse IV has sufficient capacity to drive all speaker types. In addition to its generous output power, there’s also a high-quality front-panel-mounted headphone amplifier. It’s just the job for late night or personal listening.
Moreover, for added flexibility, you also get two pairs of preamp outputs enabling connection to a range of devices, including power amps and subwoofers. Finally there is also a dedicated fixed-level record output, adding further versatility for archiving music.
The new Pulse IV forms part of the re-introduced Spectrum range and like all Leema Acoustics’ electronics, the Pulse IV is hand-crafted in the Welshpool factory.
