dubai police hoverbikeDubai police, the force with supercars and superbikes, as well as robots, could soon have hoverbikes.

Thinking about getting naughty in Dubai? Well, if the thought of being chased down by any one of thier super fleet isn’t enough, perhaps it’s time to reconsider.

Police in Dubai may soon have access to actual hoverbikes, according to AutoBlog.

The transport type tappers reported that the Dubai Police unveiled the new tech in conjunction with Russian company Hoversurf. This show took place at the Gulf Information Technology Exposition last week.

Scorpion hoverbike

This adds up to a vehicle that can leap fences, as well as traffic, and can take short cuts across water features. All with carrying a fully kitted-out cop.

Small hitch

Criminals might have the last laugh, for now, though. It’s thus capable of clearing traffic-packed roads, but one serious drawback is the unit’s limited,

The Scorpion is limited to 25 minutes due to its battery capacity.

However, on the flipside, the Scorpion’s rotor blades could easily chop bits off things/people. Just to note, capital punishment is still legal, albeit rarely used, in Dubai.

More toys

CNN reported that the hoverbikes were announced alongside a new electric motorcycle concept by the Japanese company Mikasa. This boasts a 124 mph (200 km/h) top speed.

Furthemore, ABC reported that Dubai authorities are also planning on rolling out small, driverless vehicles for surveillance in urban areas.

It almost makes me want to sign up.
