Wii Saber

Could you imagine a better way of utilising the Wii’s motion sensing controller than to recreate your favourite Star Wars face-offs?  We all know that Lucasarts have already announced a lightsaber peripheral for the Wii – just not when it will be released.  Never fear though; Play.com is offering an alternative for 15 quid.

The Wii Light Sword (not saber if any lawyers are reading), is a third-party add-on and looks remarkably like a short lightsaber with the Wiimote becoming the grip.

When Lucasarts release the Wii lightsaber it could do worse than copying the Force FX lightsaber that ranks 10/10 for coolness as it looks, feels and sounds like a lightsaber should – until then, “You can’t win, Darth. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine……………”
