Naughty Gizmodo!!

Those little tricksters at Gizmodo played a little joke at CES 2008 that has seen the perp banned from CES!

If you haven’t heard; they went armed with a TV-Off remote and went round turning off flat-screen displays that were on the show.  Fortunately the monster one on Panasonic’s stand didn’t have an active IR port! 

This was all pretty much harmless fun but I think the turning point came when they fooled around at a press event then the folks at CES started getting serious.

The conference’s organization, known as Consumer Electronics Association, have decided to ban the person responsible for the problems. It can get even worse, because “additional sanctions against Gizmodo and Gawker Media are under discussion”.

But it’s all advertising for the Giz clan :0)
