]]>For some, a quick paddle in the sea is enough. However, for others, life on the waves is only just the start. This month I look at the very best aquatic tech.
Be it above or beneath the sea, there is much fun to be had. Equally, there is myriad pieces of tech that will offer enhancement to your watery frivolity.
For most of us, a trip to the coast means nothing more than a weekend-or-so in Scarborough, Southend or Blackpool. Now, I have nothing against that, moreover Scarborough and Filey in particular hold a special place in my heart.
However, there are also those that have the wherewithal to hop on to a private jet and set off to immaculate beaches of white sand and crystal clear waters. It is for this particular demographic that Oracle Time tasked me to find the five best water-bound toys. Expect personal submarines, robots that help you fish and the ultimate in underwater holiday snaps.

]]>Most of us will dream of having enough money that we could buy whatever we wanted. But, what is there to buy when money is no object?
In the words of the mighty Pink Floyd “Money, so they say, is the root of all evil today. But, if you ask for a rise it’s no surprise that they’re giving none away”. It might well be the root of all evil, but for those with lashings of spare cash to splash, there are many things out there that us mere mortals won’t even get to know about. Well, apart from this month’s selection from my section in the excellent Oracle Time Magazine, that is.
I was duly sent out to select my top 5 pieces of expensive tech. However, I decided that I would choose items that I would most likely buy myself, should I win that multi-rollover jackpot.
You know what, when given a (virtual) blank cheque to go shopping with, there’s more out there than you’d ever realise. It really is a rich wo/man’s world.
I whittled my shopping list down to a set of video-game inspired headphones, as well as a headphone amp that doubles as a work of art to use them with. Additionally, there’s one of the largest TVs you can by, an intelligent mattress (yes, really) and an amazing camera. Not a bad shopping trip, at all.
The full magazine has plenty more trinkets for the unimaginably wealthy so, why not subscribe so you don’t miss the next one?

]]>Scream if you want to go faster! This month I take a look at the speediest gadge out there.
When my editor told with that this month’s Oracle Time Magazine was going to the the speed edition, I was quite excited about it. However, after a while of pondering what I could put forward, I then realised that some lateral thinking would be involved.
You see, there are already people on the team that handle cars, bikes, and the usual stuff that you would associate with fast tech. What on earth would you class as swift gadgets?
Even though my colleagues on the mag will have the usual transport options covered, I still had options. How about a powered skateboard that can hit 22mph? I also found a remote controlled car that boasts a sub-5 second 0-100mph time! Additionally, I have included a record breaking drone.
But speed isn’t always about covering distances in the shortest amount of time. To this end I have added two of the most powerful computers I could track down for you, one laptop and one desktop.
Strap yourself in then and satisfy your need for speed.

]]>This month I take a look at the top tier of fitness tech for Oracle Time magazine.
In the March edition of Techno Geek I reflected on all the promises made at the start of the new year.
I know a number of people valiantly signed up for gym membership.
Unfortunately, many have only visited a few times this year. I also know that a large proportion of those have only gone to use the sauna.
I just didn’t bother signing up.
Let’s face it. Gyms can be scary places filled with selfie-obsessed beautiful people humble bragging about being #blessed.
Nah, not for me. If I had the money, and therefore the space, I would be considering a home gym. Furthermore I’d have a personal trainer.
So, what would I fill my money-no-object gym with?
Firstly, I’d want a very space-age cycling machine that also doubles up as a sculpture.
H.I.T. sessions look a little too hardcore for me, but I know that the Vibrogym has a similar effect.
Free-weights can look good. I have proof.
A multi-gym is always good to have around, so why not one that looks as good as it works?
Finally, a treadmill. But I’d want one that I can watch box sets on whilst taking care of the miles. Also, it would be nice if I could simulate running some of the finest outdoor routes on the planet.
Thankfully, over these 5 pages, I have brought these all together. Enjoy.

So, grab a brew and break out your phone, tablet, laptop, desktop or holographic projector and enjoy.

Not limiting his imagination to the audio world, Kostas also designs for some of the most well-known luxury brands in the world.
Our obsession with screens shows no signs of slowing down but what does this mean for the future of high quality music in the home and on the go?
It’s all well and good having a thousand and one records in your collection, but how do you go about organising them and making sure you can put your hands on specific recording you want to play?
In recent weeks this very subject has been to the fore of Stuart’s thoughts given his burgeoning record collection and here he shares some possible solutions to deal with this perennial problem.
Linette was browsing through Facebook earlier, flicking through some of the Hifi and audio related groups that I am a member of, and something caught my eye. The cover photo for this one group was a close-up of a loudspeaker driver, instantly recognisable, without any branding or names visible, it was the KEF Uni-Q driver.
So, you want to launch your own record label but don’t have the funds, don’t have the know-how and frankly haven’t a clue where to start?

After taking January off, the horophile’s favourite monthly magazine has gone all tailor-made.

]]>I am sure that many Christmas lists this year will feature devices for fine photography. So, this month I was asked to list my top five cameras.
I hasten to add here that I am by no means a professionally skilled photographer.
However, my ability to not only scan specification lists but to listen to what actual photographers look for and use is up there with some of the best.
My hope is that, amongst these shortlisted snappers, there is something for everyone. So, no matter whether you’re a professional photog, a keen hobbiest or someone more likely to point and shoot, there should be a camera for you here.
Also, I reckon that the best camera of 2017 is sat there on those pages.
Well, have a flick through my section below and let me know your thoughts. The full magazine is great too, why not subscribe?

Cycling is a great way to keep fit. But, sometimes, you either need to get someplace quicker or some help up the steep bits.
For the Novemeber edition, I wanted to not only show some of the best traditional-looking e-bikes out there, but also some of the more cutting-edge designs. I even added an extremely retro model in there.

]]>It’s already starting to feel like winter. So, I was asked to put together my top 5 gadgets for messing around in the snow.
Snow-based tech is quite a wide remit but, as Oracle Time magazine is aimed at those with a little more spending money than most, my brief was a tad more exclusive.
I had to put myself in the ski-boots of someone who frequents the best that the Alps has to offer.
But, me being me, I didn’t just want flashy helmets and self-heating gloves.
No, that just won’t do. However, you can expect smart skis, and a backpack that doubles as an airbag – but the others might be more surprising.
