Apacer gun-tastic PT920 Commando SSD

apacer commando ssd topApacer has been shooting its mouth off about its gun-themed PT920 Commando PCIe NVMe SSD.

Apacer hopes not to be the butt of any jokes but definitely has FPS gamers in their sights.

It certainly shows flare, and I will not be muzzled!

As you may have already guessed, this is not a stock SSD.

The PT920 Commando PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) NVMe (NVM Express) SSD offers read speeds of up to 2,500 MB/s sequential.

Rapid fire

This SSD comes with a unique heatsink design. It has more than a passing resemblance to the handle of an M4 or M16 assault rifle.

You get the choice of it being loaded with either 240GB or 480GB capacities.

Price

As yet, pricing is strictly on a need to know basis. So don’t pull the trigger just yet.

Apacer, however, has said that both will be covered by a three-year warranty though. I shall be keeping an eye on the magazines for any further news.

Til then, keep your powder dry.

Do you think this is on target or more of a damp squib?
