HTC One M9 landing on a special date – UK preorder prices noted
Samsung announced that their the Galaxy S6 (and Galaxy S6 Edge) will launch, with global availability, on April 10th. The dates for the HTC One M9 release has been rather sketchy with HTC itself only giving a “mid-March timeframe” and carriers talking about Q2 and spring. Finally, someone has circled a date on their calendar – and it’s quite a special one.
I’ve been told by my Vodafone contact that the HTC One M9 is now available to pre-order with prices starting from £43.50 per month with a £19 upfront cost on a Vodafone Red 4G Price Plan, which includes unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 4GB of data – you can also enjoy free access to Spotify Premium, Sky Sports Mobile TV or a NOW TV Entertainment Pass as part of Vodafone’s Ultimate 4G Entertainment Package.
But, US retailer B&H is listing the One M9 for $650, with the note that sales will begin on Wednesday, March 25th.
The significance of that date? Well, that would mark one year to the day from when the One M8 first debuted (and as you’ll recall, became available for sale that very same day).
Granted, March 25th is technically a little later than being “mid-March” but I guess that it does fulfill HTC’s foretelling of a date that is both in March and springtime.
Expect detailed confirmation on the One M9’s arrival to start being announced by carriers soon.
